Restaurant Options at The Charleston Place Charleston Grill Chef Bob Waggoner has created a masterful menu filled with award winning entrees and desserts; a meal you will not soon forget. The new menu at the Charleston Grill is unique and offers guests various delectable dishes within a four-quadrant concept. This new menu concept allows the Charleston Grill to highlight Lowcountry specialties, as well as exciting new contemporary, cutting edge cuisine, with the finest ingredients available in the world. The Vintner's Room is a beautiful semi-private room, accommodating up to forty people for parties in the Charleston Grill. Business casual dress is requested in the dining room. Jackets and ties are not required. Casual dress is appropriate for the lounge area.

Restaurant Options in Charleston The following restaurants are located in a variety of beautifully historic areas around Charleston, South Carolina and nearby The Charleston Place. Fleet Landing Restaurant Housed in a 1940s retired naval building on the east side of the Charleston peninsula, Fleet Landing restaurant features Chef Jim Epper’s fusion of classic and contemporary Southern seafood fare in a setting that celebrates the area’s waterfront heritage. Fleet Landing’s menu is an integration of classic and contemporary southern fare using fresh coastal seafood and seasonal produce indigenous to the Lowcountry of South Carolina. With seating for 180 guests inside, 100 guests outside and a number of large group tables that seat up to 12, Fleet Landing is flexible and accommodating for all parties big and small.

Even High Cotton's name is derived from plantation jargon for "livin’ large." You can almost hear the echoes of local planters doing deals over glasses of brown whiskey. The menu is hearty and southern, featuring regional favorites, steaks, game and fresh seafood - all prepared with the famous Maverick artistry. They're also known for their award-winning wine selection and irresistible desserts. And don’t miss the High Cotton bar, one of the area’s most popular watering holes. With two private dining rooms, High Cotton can accommodate your seated dinners, as well as your banquets and receptions.

Within its sophisticated 220-year-old walls, flavorful, modern and beautifully presented dishes await guests. The cuisine is Modern American and features an exquisite menu of bold flavors and stylish sauces. Originally built in 1788, McCrady's interior combines traditional with modern elements and features soaring skylights, dramatic chandeliers, exposed brick, bluestone tiles, leather banquettes and a striking honey-hued bar. The bar opens daily at 5:00 p.m. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Peninsula Grill Haute cuisine and high spirits; steaks and chops; fish and oysters; champagne and lobster; and proper cocktails, served with style each evening by chef/partner Robert Carter and staff. The atmosphere is sophisticated and clubby, not formal. Walls are covered in rich velvet with antique cypress woodwork, 19th century oil paintings and contemporary renderings of local plantation life. Beyond the room are views of the lush Garden Courtyard and reflecting pool. At Peninsula Grill, Carter embodies his style in signature dishes such as wild mushroom grits with Lowcountry oyster stew, benne crusted rack of lamb with wild mushroom potatoes and coconut pesto and Bourbon grilled jumbo shrimp with Lowcountry hoppin' John, creamed corn and lobster-basil hushpuppies. Private dining is available for large parties. Please call ahead. Smart casual, business casual attire is recommended. No shorts, please. For gentlemen, jackets are also recommended, but by no means required.

Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Blossom Café Blossom features fresh seafood utilizing the finest regional produce, from simply prepared beer battered fried shrimp to grilled Ahi tuna and house-made pastas. Executive Chef Adam Close’s cuisine offers a wide variety of seafood selections. Guests may choose to dine inside the dining room and view the exhibition kitchen or opt for a meal in the charming walled courtyard. Just steps from the Charleston harbor, Blossom is the perfect spot for sumptuous seafood. A private dining area complements the casual yet high-energy atmosphere over looking historic East Bay Street.
The kitchen will remain open when the dining room closes and will serve a light fare menu in the bar until 12 midnight on Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday & Saturday. Cypress Cypress, a Lowcountry Grille, features a menu highlighting the rich bounty of Lowcountry from the waters to the farmlands. An authentic wood-burning grill, a prominent feature of the open kitchen, influences the cuisine and adds flavor to the meats, fish and vegetable dishes. Tableside presentations and made-to-order dessert soufflés add a dramatic touch to the Cypress experience. To complement Cypress' casual elegant dining style, a historic building, circa 1834, has been transformed with a modern, elegantly chic interior while retaining such historic architectural details as exposed brick walls & soaring ceilings. There are private parties dining facilities with customized menus available for groups of 20 to 60 guests.
Magnolias Magnolia's uptown and down south setting is a blend of historic charm and contemporary excitement with a casual elegant dining atmosphere. The uptown American cuisine with the down south flavor offers a wide variety of your favorite menu items.
Magnolia's is opened Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; or Sunday serving breakfast and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fish Since 2000, Fish has given locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy local, sustainable and flavorful seafood in a chic and stylish atmosphere. A French-Asian, minimalist approach in both menu and design allows guests to experience the true flavor of fresh and seasonal seafood. The restaurant supports local farmers and fisherman and regularly feature locally caught tuna, grouper and wreckfish. Housed in a beautifully renovated, 1837 Charleston single-style home in the heart of the Upper King Design District, the space is a blend of historic charm, architectural detail and modern sophistication, with a first floor dining room and bar and two second floor dining rooms and a piazza. Private party options are available in the second floor dining rooms.
Fish serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and the bar is open Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Anson Restaurant Anson Restaurant is a favorite Charleston restaurant with Southern architecture, elegant interior decor and gracious hospitality. Anson's cuisine, signature dishes and ambiance reflect worldly sophistication and Lowcountry lifestyle. The service at Anson reflects a friendly charm and a commitment to Southern hospitality and graciousness. Anson's dining rooms can accommodate groups of 20 to 200 guests, seven nights a week.
Basil Basil operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are no reservations.
Trattoria Lucca Chef and owner Ken Vedrinski, inspired by the Tuscan city of Lucca in central Italy, (which is well-known for its bevy of olive oils and savory Italian dishes), marries the Italian and Charlestonian dining traditions by placing special emphasis on home-made cuisine and using local ingredients. The recently opened Trattoria Lucca stays true to its trattoria setting by featuring unique offerings, such as a community table, which allows guests to drop by without a reservation and mix and mingle. You won't go home feeling empty; at Trattoria Lucca you will be forced to say, "Basta! Enough!”
Trattoria Lucca is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fig At Fig, "food is good." Their food philosophy was born from the love of pure flavor. With an intimate neighborhood bistro serving a “seasonally inspired menu," the minimalist decor evokes a modern, yet comfortable feeling. The dining room accommodates up to 90 people. Open seating is available at the Bar, Counter, and Community Table. Most tables can accommodate up to 6 people. For groups over 12, reservations should be made at least 3-7 days in advance; due to seasonal availability, some products may not be available, so a limited menu is to be used for private or large parties.

A.W. Shucks A.W. Shucks, a seafood restaurant and oyster bar, is the place for seafood. A place well known by the locals, A.W. Shucks is definitely a place you need to visit before you leave Charleston. Sit down and relax with a plate of fried shrimp, a dozen raw oysters or an ice-cold pitcher of beer.
